Kansas City
We have lived here for a year now and had never been to Kansas City so last weekend we decided to remedy that. We went to Crown Center which is only a 15 minute drive from our house. Crown Center has a ton of fun stuff to do, but this trip we decided to do all the free stuff! We saw the Liberty Memorial, which is WWI museum; however, we did not actually go in the museum because that cost money so we just looked around. Then we took the kids to the a Curious George exhibit that had lots of activities for them to do, then on to the Hallmark Musuem where you could push a button and watch a machine make the bows, like you see on presents, and then the machine spits it out, the kids each got to make and keep one bow. Then there was a place called Kaleidoscope where the kids were allowed to go in and make their own Hallmark keepsakes like cards, name tags, etc. There was also a dark room inside with black lights and paint that glowed!:) To end our little excursion we went to a restaurant called Fritz's where little trains drive above the tables on tracks and drop off your food for you! The kids really loved watching the trains drive by. Lastly but not least we went to a candy store and let the kids each pick one piece of candy for dessert. We had a great day and next time we go back we will be hitting Legoland and the Aquarium! I am so excited!
