Home Sweet Home
Just wanted to update everyone on how we are doing. We finally moved into our new place. It's nice. Very spacious and they just installed new carpet and flooring throughout so even though it is older it looks new. The only annoying thing is the squeaky floors. It doesn't matter where you step, it will squeak! It's okay though we are already getting used to it.
We also finally received our stuff on Thursday morning! Everything got here in one piece, so far. There were some boxes that were damaged but everything inside was still safe. The driver and two locals unpacked the truck for us and they were very professional and nice. They worked very hard and we were so glad they were doing it and not us. :) So far I have unpacked the kitchen, laundry/ food storage, and the kids clothes. I am trying to get things done quickly as we will have visitors starting next week, but it has been difficult because Brent is working 12 hour shifts to prepare for the fourth. So that leaves me unpacking all by myself. the kids have helped, but there is only so much they can help with, but eventually it will all get done.
In other exciting news.....we got a puppy!
This is Sophie, she is a malti poo and she is 10 weeks old. She has picked up potty training pretty quickly but we are still working on it. When we first took her on a walk she refused to walk so it's more like us pulling her than a walk, she has slowly realized that walking with us is a lot easier. She is very feisty and chews on everything and everyone. But she is also very loving. Her personality is basically the same as the rest of the girls in our family so she fits in perfectly.
We are just so happy our stuff is here and now we can start making our house feel like home.
