Whirlwind of Events
Well, as you all probably all know. We moved again. We are now in Overland Park, Kansas. I know, I know many may be asking yourselves why do they move so much? The answer is simple... JOB. We knew our move to Modesto would be short lived as the plant was closed down, but it was a wonderful opportunity for Brent to get at least some experience so that he could move to a different company later still in the food industry. Brent is and was kind of sad he could no longer afford to be a teacher. He loves teaching and he amazing at it, but with the size of our family it just was not cutting it. So he will now be in the food industry where there is plenty of opportunity for growth.
For now he is working at Hostess in Lenexa, KS making infamous Wonderbread, which I admit I hadn't tried until we got here. pretty tasty stuff and cheap! This is the farthest either one of us have lived from family and home, not counting Brent's mission to the Philippines of course. It's a whole different world over here! Some things good, some not so good, but so far the good outweigh the bad. For example I am absolutely terrified of tornadoes and am told June and July are the worst for tornadoes. We will see what happens. I am praying all of them will miss us!:) One of the wonderful things we love are all the trees. It is so beautiful here. We went to a park today that was completely surrounded by trees and had a trail going through "the forest" as the kids called it. There is every store imaginable and a mall with a two stry carousel in it! AWESOME!
Now we just have to wait for all of our stuff to arrive and we will be moving into a town home on the 8th that we will most likely live in for the next 3 years. It is three stories, 2060 sq. ft with a basement that will work for a tornado shelter. There are also two pools, a clubhouse, a sand volleyball court, and a tennis court. The kids school they will be attending is close by and very big for an elementary. We are just so happy the move is done and extremely grateful that Brent was able to find a job so quickly. We will keep you posted on all of our adventures in Kansas!:)

I hope this will be a fun adventure for you guys! We've been far from home for awhile and there are definitely some pros and cons to it. It can make a strong family though. I am so glad you have a basement! Stay safe!
