Finally in Surprise, Arizona

Well we finally got this big move done with, now let's just hope we like it here and don't have to make a big move again. ;) We've been here a month now and it's going well. When we first drove into town, we got a little worried because the city limits sign was still in the middle of nowhere and it looked pretty sparse, but as we got to our house there was more businesses so we were relieved. Surprise is a pretty big town with a popluation of 115,000. It is a fairly new town so there are many things still being built. We live on the outskirts of town, about 10 min out of town. We were actually really shocked to see lots of trees and it was greener that we were expecting. I mean it is a desert after all! In fact there are so many trees on the main road that it makes it kinda hard to see all the business signs. For now we have stayed busy playing in sprinklers at the splash park, swimming at the pool, and reading at the library. We've taken the kids out to the park across the street a few times but we always wait till 7p.m because it is a LITTLE cooler, 103 instead of 111. We are really looking forward to Fall and Winter so it won't be as hot. We plan on going fishing, going to the zoo, hiking and grilling outdoors as much as we can! We'll keep you updated on our adventures. :)

Grassy area across the street from our house. Kids like to come play soccer and football here in the evenings.

House we are renting. See we even have our own tree! At first we were kinda disappointed we had desert landscape, but after we got here we are so happy we don't have to face the heat and got out to mow.

House. Four bedrooms, living room, family room. 2 1/2 baths, 2 car garage. and a little yard in the back with a 10x10 patch of grass, I'm not kidding that's all the grass it has. The rest is rocks. Although it has a covered patio with a fan and mist sprayer so as soon as we get outdoor furniture and it cools down we'll spend a lot of time out there. It's bigger than our last place and more up to date. Our kitchen even has an island and granite counter tops. Pretty shnazzy huh? I would have posted pics. of the inside but it's still kind of a mess so I guess if you want to see the inside, you'll have to come visit. ;)
